Everyday Freedom

Is the OxyGo NEXT NG Right for You?

The USA-made OxyGo NEXT NG is a prescription portable oxygen concentrator with six pulse-dose settings, removable rechargeable batteries, and a compact carrying design. It can be a practical choice for errands, appointments, family visits, and travel when its oxygen delivery matches your prescription.

Unlike an oxygen tank, it concentrates oxygen from surrounding air while powered by a charged battery, approved household AC power, or compatible vehicle DC power. It does not require routine oxygen-cylinder refills.

Important: Pulse-dose settings 1–6 are not equivalent to 1–6 liters per minute of continuous oxygen. Your healthcare provider should determine whether this system meets your prescribed oxygen needs, including during sleep.

Battery Choices

OxyGo NEXT NG Battery Life and Weight

Choose the lighter standard battery for everyday portability or the extended battery for longer periods away from an outlet. Both batteries are removable and rechargeable.

Standard Battery

Up to 6.25 hours of runtime

Approx. 4.8 lbs total system weight

Good for buyers who prioritize lighter carrying weight or want an additional spare battery.

Extended Battery

Up to 12.75 hours of runtime

Approx. 5.8 lbs total system weight

Useful for longer outings, travel, and days with limited access to charging.

Battery-life note: These are maximum advertised runtimes under qualifying operating conditions, not guaranteed durations at every setting. Oxygen setting, breathing rate, battery age, temperature, and operating conditions affect actual battery life. Plan travel with a suitable reserve.

Understand Your Oxygen Delivery

Pulse Dose, Continuous Flow, and Overnight Use

The NEXT NG detects the beginning of an inhalation and delivers a measured pulse of oxygen. It offers pulse-dose settings 1 through 6; it does not provide continuous-flow oxygen.

The concentrator is designed for extended, including 24/7, operation when used according to its instructions. That does not mean pulse-dose delivery is appropriate for every patient during sleep. Overnight suitability depends on your prescription, breathing pattern, and your healthcare provider's assessment.

For someone prescribed continuous flow, or whose needs cannot be met by pulse dose, a different concentrator may be necessary. We can help explain the differences between models without substituting for clinical guidance.
