We had been looking at portable oxygen for my husband for quite some time. He had the small green canisters but wanted something lighter and more aesthetically pleasing. I came upon Inspired Oxygen and made an inquiry. Todd, the owner, called us that night and introduced himself, the company and the product. How much does the Inogen G5 weigh?

The G5 system weighs only 4.7 pounds with the smaller 8 cell Single Battery attached or a lightweight 5.7 Pounds with the larger 16 cell Double Battery in use.

Will I be able to use the G5 system as a full-time machine?

Inogen does state that you can use the G5 system 24/7. Although the G5 is a very durable system, it is still a small medical device. It’s wise to be mindful of the amount of work you may be placing on such a small O2 concentrator. The more demand on the G5 machine, the more frequent service requirements you may encounter. The G5 includes a standard 5 year warranty and we offer upgraded warranty packages, too.

Can I use insurance to purchase an Inogen G5 from Inspired Portable Oxygen?

No. Typically, Insurance doesn’t purchase portable oxygen concentrators. Insurances may pay a small rental fee for oxygen equipment only if a supplier has a Medicare or Medicaid supplier number. Inspired Portable Oxygen, the operator of this website, does not have a Medicare or Medicaid supplier number. Insurance will not pay for any medical equipment and supplies we sell to you.

Is financing available for the G5?

Will the Inogen One G5 work for me?

Depending on your oxygen prescription, it’s highly likely that it will! The most common prescription for oxygen is 2-3 liters per minute, and the G5 delivers that amount of oxygen, and more, using smart pulse dose delivery. The G5 is available by prescription only. If you are currently using supplemental oxygen prescribed by your doctor, there is a good chance that the NEXT System will work for you and we will work with you and your doctor to get you the correct system. I'd like to get a loved one an Inogen G5. How do I do that?

If your loved one is currently on oxygen, there is a good chance the G5 will work for them! You can purchase an G5 complete system to own and we will help get the necessary doctor’s prescription for you.

My current oxygen equipment company said they can't assist me in getting any model lightweight oxygen concentrator. What should I do?

Because most oxygen equipment companies are dealing with Medicare and Insurance constraints, the Inogen One G5 portable oxygen concentrators are not readily available from most medical equipment providers.
